What stays on your device

What we store

Nothing here can identify you.

Abuse protection

To stop automated abuse, the counter is rate limited per network address by Cloudflare. We do not store network addresses.

Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare to host the site, serve it quickly, protect it, and forward email. Cloudflare processes your network address to deliver pages, as any host does, under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare may process data outside South Africa. For page views and loading speed we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare's documentation says it collects page-load timing metrics, does not collect or use visitors' personal data, and does not track individual end users across the sites it serves.

When you email us

Email to hello@cubaactiondesk.org.za is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a private inbox. We use it only to reply and to deal with what you wrote, and we delete it as soon as that is done.

Other sites

Email apps, WhatsApp and the organisations we link to have their own privacy practices. When you leave this site, theirs apply.

Your rights under POPIA

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to hello@cubaactiondesk.org.za.

Complaints

If you are not happy, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
