About Cuba Action Desk
Cuba Action Desk SA is for South Africans who want to understand the US blockade of Cuba and act on it without going to an event.
Who runs this
This is an independent, volunteer-run project in South Africa. It has no staff, no budget and no advertising, and it is not endorsed by or part of any political party, company or organisation.
What the site does
- Act: emails and messages you can edit and send from your own email app or WhatsApp.
- Learn: short explainers. Every claim links to its source.
- Give: organisations that deliver aid, which we check before listing them.
What it does not do
- We never collect or handle money. Donations go from you to the organisation.
- There are no accounts, no comments and no mailing list.
- We never see your message or your name. Read the privacy notice.
How we try to be fair
We prefer primary sources, such as United Nations records and government documents. Cuban government sources are allowed but are labelled as such. Each explainer ends with the strongest case against its own point of view. We review articles at least every six months, and we log every fix on the corrections page.
